Up in the air

Take me up my dear
Up in the air.
Away from this din,
Away from this dull noon,
Away from this monochrome daily,
Away from being ordinary.

All that is unachieved, untouched
Yet long cherished;
Let them fill my life
Take me high my friend at once.
Among the stars,
Above the clouds.

If I have to live alone
I will not cry;
If I can’t breathe
I will not fear to die.
So give me a chance
To see this life,
Which is always pretty
If  viewed from the sky.

Confession

As spring comes in the corridor of winter,
She asks him “Your time is up, so leave now”.
Likewise when one man separates from another
One person's wish, desire come across
Another person's hope, aspiration.
Before leaving, while tying his laces
He looks for the last time, his room, his garden
And then silently drops from the scene.
Was he able carry in his backpack,
The deluge of monsoon, the light of fireflies?
Can he take all his dreams, desires, promises,
All in his backpack?
As he moves far and far away,
He empties whatever he has carried from his world.
The only thing that keeps his bag heavy
Like dark monsoon cloud -
Is the love that is not confessed!

Love

If I have to wear Allen Solly,
Tie Puma in my feet,
Look the world through green glass of Ray-Ban...
If I have to get shavy macho look,
Seek three pack abs,
Ride 220 CC,
Then it is something else, not love between us.

If it is love then my uncombed hair,
Half sleeve shirt, faded jeans
My smell, my imperfection, my mistake
Will be longed by you.
If it is love then,
Declaration, proclamation, WhatsApp, FB
Will be less,
Silence will be more!

Untitled

I can recollect now and then
I came along this path quite often;
But today the marks disappear
As green grass spread here and there.

I walk on this path with a desire
Alone with a lamp O dear!
Time has come to meet you again,
As wind sweeps over wood and plain.

It's now dark under the moon
And the lamp will burn out very soon,
But the stars are there to guide
And the shadow of yours will walk beside.
